Teaching and Demonstration Garden

The Weißenstadt fruit-growing and gardening club has created a “little botanical garden” as a teaching and demonstration garden.

Blooming Variety with a Swedish Touch

For more than thirty years, the dedicated members of the Obst- und Gartenbauverein (fruit-growing and gardening club) have tended the teaching and demonstration garden by the idyllic Schützweiher pond, showing everything a hobby gardener’s heart could desire. Discover the many varieties of fruit and berries, smell the herbs and roses, immerse yourself in the abundance of perennials and watch which busy helpers live in the insect hotel.

Amid nature’s colourful splendour, the red and white clubhouse stands out and even adds a touch of Swedish flair. You can enjoy it all from the cosy seats and loungers, letting your gaze wander undisturbed over the many lovingly designed details. From spring to autumn, the club is also happy to share its knowledge and experience and offers guided tours of the garden.
