Nordic Walking

For Nordic walking enthusiasts, the area around Bad Weißenstadt offers 14 varied routes of different difficulty levels and lengths.

Nordic walking is by no means a new sport. As early as the 1940s, cross-country skiers were using Nordic walking to prepare for the winter season – although back then it was known as “ski walking”.

You can do it any time and anywhere. Nordic walking can be done on your own, but above all it is an activity for groups. Once you have a reasonable command of the sport, you can adapt your technique so that a fairly sporty beginner and an advanced Nordic walker can walk together in the same group. That is one of the great advantages of Nordic walking.

The Nordic Parc Fichtelgebirge is particularly well suited to this. Around Bad Weißenstadt there are 14 routes in total, covering a wide range of difficulty levels, with lengths from 2.1 km to 13.9 km.
