Rock Cellars

Whether at the cellar house, in the Bergstraße, on the former railway line by the lake - something like our cellar ensembles is rare.

They were built as storage cellars when agricultural products still had to be stored in large quantities for the winter, but it is tried to safe large parts of the cellars from decay. Potatoes, turnips and beer used to be stored here.
The users had to acquire a cellar right from the town; most of these rights still exist today.

If you visit Weißenstadt, don’t miss out on a guided cellar tour!
